Lazy

The weekend is here
Should I be lazy?
Or try to get work done?
So far my bed is winning
Hopefully it’s just a lazy morning

Today is the day

The morning calls me 

I do not want to wake up 

But hey, it’s Friday

Yawn to wake up

I yawn and yawn again
Morning has arrived
And lunch time isn’t far off
I stretch every muscle known to man
And hope I’ll be more determined
To get out of bed

Sounds with morning the breeze

Motors blasting through the window 

Joggers ipod sounds coming through 

Small kids with loud voices coming through

The music on my laptop 

Keeping my morning together 

Win win

The light awakens me
I suffer with my eyes
My hands react
They pull the covers over me
Another win for the human being

Chirp

I hear you birds
Yes, I know
I should wake up

Explore a new path (From rough draft poem story novel)

Morning has crept up on my sheets

I twist and turn

Sun just follows my movements

Okay, you win

I’m up and showering

Mom already made me breakfast

She beat me to it

But I needed the sleep

Then again she needed it too

Today we were going to explore the area

We weren’t familiar with the area

We are only familiar with the cheap price

The cheap price to raise a roof over our hearts 

Beam of light

I’m shedding some light
Keep your head lifted up high
One light ray more soon

Artificial light

My sun is work lights
I really need to see sun
Working in fake light

Game of chase

The sun is hiding 

The moon is running away

I’m seeing the moon
